Meijer to open three new stores in Northeast Ohio
Meijer plans to open three new stores in Northeast Ohio this spring. The locations are in Austintown, Medina, and Richmond Heights. All three supercenters will open on May 8, 2025. Each store covers 159,000 square feet. They will sell a variety of groceries and have special sections for bakery, meat, seafood, and deli products. Customers can also find departments for home goods, apparel, electronics, toys, and sporting goods. Each location will feature a full-service pharmacy and a health and beauty section. Meijer aims to hire hundreds of workers for these new stores. The Medina location is expected to create about 330 jobs. Interested applicants can apply online. Todd Anderson, Vice President of the Ohio Region for Meijer, said they have received positive feedback about their services. The company has invested significantly in the region and continues to grow in Ohio, where it now has a total of 58 locations. In addition to the supercenters, a Meijer Express gas station will open near the Austintown store on April 10.
