Mel Gibson plans de-aged Jim Caviezel for Passion of the Christ sequel

Mel Gibson plans to cast a de-aged Jim Caviezel in his sequel to The Passion of the Christ, titled The Resurrection of the Christ. Filming is expected to start next year, featuring a story about Jesus’ resurrection. Gibson described the film as an “acid trip” and mentioned it will include elements like the fall of the angels and scenes in hell. He co-wrote the script with Randall Wallace and his brother Donal. The original film, released in 2004, was a major success, grossing about $622 million worldwide. Gibson has been working on this sequel for years as part of his career comeback.
