Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 launched in India; limited availability

The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series has launched in India, showcasing a new standard in open-air luxury. This two-seater roadster combines the classic SL design with Maybach's luxury touches, creating a striking appearance. The SL 680 features a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine that produces 585 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. It can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds. The car uses a 9G automatic transmission and a 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system for improved traction and stability. The suspension and rear-axle steering provide excellent handling and comfort on the road. The car’s exterior comes in two elegant themes: Red Ambience and White Ambience. It has a special illuminated grille, unique rose gold accents, and a luxurious soft-top roof. The standout 21-inch Maybach wheels add to its impressive look. Inside, the SL 680 boasts high-quality Nappa leather in crystal white, with a unique Maybach floral pattern. It features stylish details like galvanized seat backs and silver chrome trim. The advanced MBUX infotainment system includes voice control and a fully digital instrument cluster for a high-tech driving experience. To ensure comfort, the SL 680 prioritizes a quiet cabin with sound insulation and a smooth ride. The AIRSCARF system blows warm air around the neck for comfort in cooler weather, making it perfect for open-top driving. The car made its debut at a gala in Udaipur, demonstrating the growing popularity of ultra-luxury vehicles in India. Only three units are available in the country, but demand is significantly higher. Each model includes a personalized key and access to exclusive Maybach services for buyers. The SL 680 Monogram Series is now available for consultation, with deliveries expected to start in early 2026. The price is set at ₹4.2 crore.
