Messi will miss Argentina's World Cup qualifying matches
Inter Miami's Lionel Messi is sidelined due to an adductor injury. An MRI revealed the injury this week, which will prevent him from playing for Argentina in upcoming World Cup qualifying matches. Messi, who scored during a recent match against Atlanta United, reported discomfort afterward. Following further examination, Inter Miami confirmed it was a "low-grade injury." As a result, he will miss Argentina's crucial games against Uruguay and Brazil. Messi expressed disappointment about missing these important matches. He stated on social media that he always wanted to be with his national team. He assured fans he will support Argentina from afar. Inter Miami has been carefully managing Messi’s playing time this season. The club already played eight matches since mid-February. Messi has participated in four matches, missed two, and came on as a substitute in two others. His availability for Inter Miami’s next game against the Philadelphia Union on March 29 is still uncertain. So far this season, the 37-year-old forward has scored four goals across all competitions.
