Meta launches Movie Gen AI for enhanced video creation and editing

Meta launched its Movie Gen video AI, capable of creating 16-second videos with sound effects and ambient noise. This new tool aims to enhance video generation, editing, and audio creation, outperforming competitors like OpenAI's Sora and Runway's Gen-3. Movie Gen combines previous models to offer improved control for creators. It can generate personalized videos from still images and allows precise editing, including adding or replacing elements and changing cinematic styles. The audio component can produce up to 45 seconds of synchronized sound, including background noise and sound effects. Meta plans to collaborate with filmmakers for feedback while emphasizing that it does not intend to replace human creators.
