Meta predicts smart glasses will revolutionize computing
Meta executives Alex Himel and Mark Rabkin have stated that the future of computing may center around smart glasses and headsets. They envision these devices, powered by AI, assisting users throughout their daily activities. Last year, Meta introduced its Orion augmented reality glasses, which can display digital content in a user’s view. The company also offers a range of virtual reality headsets and the Meta Ray-Ban glasses, which include features for capturing content and audio playback. Rabkin noted that the technology aims to merge the capabilities of virtual reality and smart glasses. Himel highlighted AI's role in enhancing these devices, allowing users to interact with their environment simply by looking at it.
