Meta unveils Movie Gen AI model for generating video and audio clips

Meta has introduced a new AI model called Movie Gen, capable of generating realistic video and audio clips based on user prompts. This model aims to compete with existing tools from companies like OpenAI and ElevenLabs. Movie Gen can create videos up to 16 seconds long and audio clips up to 45 seconds. It can also add background music and sound effects, allowing users to edit existing videos with new elements. Unlike its Llama language models, Meta is not planning to release Movie Gen for public use. Instead, it will collaborate with the entertainment industry to integrate the model into its products next year.
