Meta updates Threads with new search and trending features to enhance user experience
Meta is updating its Threads platform with new search and trending features. Users will soon be able to search for posts by date or account, similar to X's capabilities. A new trending page will also provide more topics and AI-generated summaries. Threads is introducing a custom feeds option, allowing users to pin multiple curated feeds on their homepage. This feature offers more flexibility compared to the existing algorithmic recommendations and is similar to a feature already available on Bluesky. Additionally, Meta is adjusting the Threads algorithm to prioritize posts from accounts users follow. This change aims to address complaints about irrelevant content in the default home feed, which has been a long-standing issue for users.
