It is built on the Modular Scalable Platform and boasts a modern design with split LED headlamps and a bold front bumper. The stylish rear features connected LED tail lamps. Inside, the MG S5 EV promises a new layout with premium materials. It will include a digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, and a powered driver’s seat for added comfort. Safety features will include Level 2 ADAS technology for advanced driver assistance. The vehicle will likely be powered by a 62 kWh battery and a rear-axle-mounted electric motor, producing 167 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8 seconds and is expected to have a driving range of over 500 km on a full charge. In addition to the S5 EV, MG Motor India plans to launch the Cyberster electric convertible soon, followed by the all-electric M9 MPV and the Majestor SUV by late 2025.
