Michael English cancels shows after nephew's death

Country music star Michael English has canceled his shows for the week due to the sudden death of his 19-year-old nephew, Dara Kissane. Dara, from Kilkea in County Kildare, passed away after being ill for a few days. He died at Naas General Hospital on March 18. Michael English expressed his deep sadness on social media, saying Dara was his “pride and joy.” He stated that he cannot perform this week and extended his condolences to Dara's parents, John and Olivia, as well as his sister, Kayla. English urged his followers to pray for the family during this difficult time. Dara has been remembered fondly by friends and community members. One mourner described Dara as a “beautiful, inspiring and gentle boy.” Dara’s remains are being laid to rest at his home, with prayers scheduled for Friday night. His funeral will be held on Saturday at the Church of the Assumption in Castledermot, followed by burial in Moone Cemetery. Attendees have been asked to wear purple, which was Dara's favorite color. The death notice highlighted Dara as a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend. He is mourned by his family, including his aunt, uncles, and cousins, and will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
