Michel Roux Junior plans £20 million hotel and restaurant at Crossbasket Castle in Glasgow

Michel Roux Junior, a BBC chef with two Michelin stars, has announced plans for a £20 million hotel and restaurant at Crossbasket Castle in Glasgow. Trocadero’s Restaurant and Cocktail Bar is set to open on March 16, 2025. The development will include 40 new hotel rooms, a luxury spa, and private cottages. This expansion aims to accommodate an additional 35,000 guests annually and create 50 local jobs. Roux already operates a restaurant at the castle, serving French cuisine with Scottish ingredients. The castle has undergone significant renovations since its acquisition in 2011.
