Michigan man arrested for attempted home invasion
A 35-year-old man from Gaylord, Michigan, has been arrested after he tried to break into a home in Otsego County. The incident happened early in the morning on March 15, when police received reports of a protection order violation. The man, identified as James Dash, tried to kick down the door of the house after knocking and receiving no answer. He then fled into the nearby woods. Police found his footprints in the snow and tracked him down to a spot where he was hiding behind a tree. After a brief struggle, they took him into custody. On March 17, Dash was charged with third-degree attempted home invasion, malicious destruction of property, and assaulting an officer. He has been given a bond of $25,000.
