Mike Tyson prepares for first fight since 2005 against Jake Paul in Texas
Mike Tyson is set to fight Jake Paul on Friday in Texas, marking his first professional boxing match since 2005. At 58, Tyson will face the 27-year-old Paul, who has been boxing since 2020. Tyson is expected to earn around $20 million. Tyson, a former heavyweight champion, was convicted of rape in 1992 and served three years in prison. He maintains his innocence regarding the conviction, which involved Desiree Washington, an 18-year-old college student at the time. The fight was originally scheduled for July but was postponed due to Tyson's health issues. Tensions escalated during the weigh-in when Tyson struck Paul in the face. Tyson has expressed a stark contrast between his fighting style and Paul's, calling him a "manufactured killer."
