Milan Momcilovic leads Iowa State to victory at home
Pewaukee's Milan Momcilovic played a key role in Iowa State's 82-55 victory over Lipscomb in the NCAA tournament. The Cyclones, seeded third, had a strong performance on Friday. Momcilovic, a sophomore power forward, led his team with 20 points and made four three-pointers. The game saw a turning point with a 14-0 run by Iowa State, during which Momcilovic scored 12 points. Lipscomb briefly took the lead with a three-pointer, but Iowa State quickly regained control. Momcilovic enjoyed playing close to home, with around 50 friends and family members in the crowd. Iowa State head coach T.J. Otzelberger, also from Milwaukee, expressed pride in the team's victory in his hometown. He highlighted the importance of local support for players like Momcilovic. Sheboygan's Jacob Ognacevic led Lipscomb with 18 points in the game. He appreciated being able to play in front of family and friends in Milwaukee, despite the loss.
