Milwaukee offers diverse experiences for March Madness attendees
Milwaukee is gearing up for the 2025 NCAA tournament. The first and second rounds will take place this Friday and Sunday. If you are a college basketball fan visiting the city, here's a guide to enjoy your time. Start your day with brunch at Uncle Wolfie’s Breakfast Tavern. They have two locations in Milwaukee. You can enjoy brunch until 2 or 3 p.m., giving you plenty of time to fuel up before the games. Their Bloody Marys are especially popular, and for something unique, check out Sobelman’s where the drinks come with full meal garnishes. After the games, celebrate at one of the many bars in the Deer District, right outside Fiserv Forum. Old World Third Street, an area with German heritage, has fun spots like the Old German Beer Hall. They offer local and imported beers, along with delicious sausages and pretzels. It’s a great place to toast to a victory. If your team doesn’t win, treat yourself to some frozen custard to cope. Kopp’s and Gillies are local favorites, but many swear by Leon’s for its rich vanilla flavor. When you want to explore outside the arena, visit Lakefront Brewery. They offer entertaining tours, plus free beer, and even serve a famous fish fry. For a true Wisconsin sports experience, don’t miss Major Goolsby’s. This sports bar has been around since 1970 and features a collection of Wisconsin sports memorabilia. It's a great spot for food and drinks before or after the games.
