Milwaukee woman charged with homicide after shooting incident

A 49-year-old woman named April Jammile Miller has been charged with reckless homicide after a shooting in Milwaukee. The incident happened on March 16 and resulted in the death of 33-year-old Brenisha Butcher and serious injuries to her sister, 30-year-old Brittany Butcher. The shooting took place outside Bar 107, where a fight had occurred earlier. After the fight, people were asked to leave the bar. While everyone was exiting, Brenisha's car stopped next to Miller's car. According to reports, Miller then pulled out a gun and began firing. Witnesses claim Miller stated, "I thought those were the b****** that were trying to get us," after the shooting. Brenisha was shot in the head and died at the scene. Brittany Butcher was shot in the neck and later taken to the hospital. If found guilty, Miller could face up to 60 years in prison for the reckless homicide charge. She may also receive an additional 25 years for reckless injury.
