Mindanao to experience cloudy skies and rain
MANILA, Philippines — On Tuesday, cloudy skies and rain are expected in parts of Mindanao. The rest of the country will experience hot and humid weather, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa). The weather conditions are influenced by two systems: the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) and easterlies. Areas such as the Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro, Soccsksargen, and Davao Region will see overcast skies with scattered rain showers, Pagasa's weather specialist Chenel Dominguez reported. In contrast, Luzon will have hot and humid weather during the day, with possible short rain showers in the afternoon. Residents of Palawan, the entire Visayas, and the rest of Mindanao should also expect warm afternoons and localized thunderstorms later in the day. Dominguez noted that there are currently no low-pressure areas or tropical cyclones affecting the country. There is also no gale warning in effect for any of the country's coastal waters.
