Minister criticizes BJP's disruptive assembly behavior
Labour Minister Santosh Lad criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for their recent actions in the assembly. He said that 18 legislators were suspended for six months after they disrupted the session, demanding a discussion on the honeytrap issue. Lad spoke to the media in Hubballi, expressing frustration over the BJP's behavior. He pointed out that the government had already clarified the situation. The Chief Minister and Home Minister promised a high-level investigation. Despite these assurances, the BJP continued to create chaos, raising questions about their motives. The minister questioned the urgency of the honeytrap discussion, especially when other important topics, like farmers' struggles and drinking water issues, needed attention. He accused the BJP of seeking publicity rather than genuinely addressing public concerns. Lad stated that the honeytrap issue had already been addressed and that an investigation would be initiated by the government. He urged the BJP to focus on more relevant issues instead of drawing attention to themselves through drama in the assembly. He expressed concern about the state of societal discussions in the country, saying it is disappointing that topics like honeytraps dominate the conversation. Lad also highlighted worries regarding constituency delimitation by the central government, stressing the need for all parties to work together for representation that benefits the public.
