Minors arrested for armed carjacking of Uber driver

Two minors were arrested in West Palm Beach late Monday night. They are accused of robbing an Uber driver at gunpoint. The incident happened just before 11:30 p.m. A customer got into the Uber and pointed a long gun at the driver's neck. The driver was ordered to get out of the car. West Palm Beach police sent an alert to nearby Riviera Beach police about the stolen car. License plate cameras helped locate the vehicle. Riviera Beach officers pursued the car into West Palm Beach. The chase ended when the car stopped at Evergreen Cemetery. The two minors jumped out and ran away but were soon caught by police. Inside the stolen car, officers found a BB gun and a handgun. The minors were taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center for booking.
