Missing French bulldog found 100 miles away
A French bulldog named Havoc went missing from his home in North Hollywood in January 2023, sparking a massive and emotional search by his owner, Yasmine Hazeart. For two years, Hazeart rallied volunteers online, who called themselves Havoc's army, to help find him. During the search, Hazeart treated the search like a full-time job. She reached out to dog shelters, hired specialists, and spread the word across social media. The stress of losing Havoc affected her health. Hazeart felt distressed and overwhelmed but found support from her online community, who shared tips and updates about missing French bulldogs. Finally, almost 800 days later, Havoc was discovered about 100 miles away in Apple Valley. Windie Petersen, who found him, asked her neighbors for help in identifying the dog. The community quickly spread the word on social media. One member of Havoc's army, LeRae DeRasmo, confirmed the dog's identity by checking his microchip number. When Hazeart learned that Havoc was safe, she was overjoyed. She quickly drove to Apple Valley to reunite with him. The moment Havoc heard her voice, he ran to her, and they embraced. Hazeart expressed her gratitude for everyone who assisted in the search, calling them "angels." Now, she is ready to rebuild her life and her relationship with her mother, feeling relieved to have Havoc back home.
