Missing law student found dead near Lohagad Fort
A 21-year-old law student was found dead near Lohagad fort in Lonavla on Thursday. The student had been missing since March 18 in Pimple Gurav. Pune Rural police believe she may have died by suicide. They say she was dealing with health issues and had recently undergone surgery. The student's uncle reported her missing after she did not come home from college. The student left home around 7:30 am on March 18, but when she did not return by evening, her family began to search for her. Police checked her cellphone location and discovered she had been near Lohagad fort. Authorities alerted the Pune Rural police and searched the area with her relatives. They also found the cab driver who had dropped her off at the foothills of the fort. CCTV footage confirmed that the woman was seen climbing the fort around 9 am on March 18. The fort closes to the public at 5 pm, and she did not return by that time. A search team later discovered her body near a temple at the fort's base.
