Missing man found in Kolkata after six years

A 73-year-old man, missing for almost six years, has been found in Kolkata. Nikant Rao Bapuram Kale, a retired chemical engineer from Mumbai, disappeared in June 2019 while heading to his factory in Bandra. Recently, he was discovered living on a pavement in Nagerbazar. He has Alzheimer's disease, which made him unable to return home. Local police and community members helped him and took him to the Missionaries of Charity for care. The team at the Missionaries of Charity reached out for help using HAM radio. They shared his photos to find his family. Within hours, they contacted his daughter, Madhuri, who lives in a slum in Bandra with her sick mother. Madhuri and her family are now on their way to Dum Dum to bring him home.
