Missing Scottish tourist found in hospital with injuries
A Scottish tourist, Robert Cadger, has been found in a hospital in Italy after going missing for a week. He was discovered with broken bones following an accident. The 47-year-old had last been seen on March 10 during a vacation in Naples and Pompeii. Robert flew to Naples on March 8 to enjoy sightseeing and watch a football match. He traveled by train to Pompeii with a friend but did not meet up as planned. His disappearance coincided with a significant earthquake in the region, measuring 4.4 in magnitude, which complicated rescue efforts. Robert was without his bank cards and luggage, raising concerns among his family when he missed his flight home. They reported that he was in the hospital and needed financial support for medical expenses and family visits. His brother, Euan Cadger, expressed worry, stating that Robert is normally very responsible and always remains in touch with his daughter. Euan described his brother as someone who would not simply vanish without communication. The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with Robert’s medical needs as he begins his recovery.
