East Cleveland police found the body of Juvar King, a 46-year-old man from Warren, on Monday. He had been reported missing since early February. The body was discovered behind an abandoned home on Chapman Avenue around 5:35 p.m. Authorities did not provide details about the cause of death but hinted at possible foul play. A medical examiner will determine the exact cause. Interim Mayor Sandra Morgan stressed the need to address crime, including issues related to abandoned properties. Juvar King was last seen on February 4, driving a family member's 2007 Buick Lacrosse. On the same day, Cleveland police responded to a vehicle fire involving that car at an illegal dumping site. Investigators later determined that the fire was intentional. Nathaniel Christian Crockett, a 28-year-old from Cleveland, was arrested in connection with the arson. He was indicted a week later and pled not guilty, being released on a $5,000 bond while wearing a GPS monitor. He is scheduled to appear in court again on April 3. East Cleveland police plan to question Crockett about King's case. However, the investigations into the arson and King's death are separate, and it is unclear if Crockett will face charges related to the murder.
