MIT-WPU hosts 'HackMIT-WPU 2025' competition starting March 26
MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) will host a competitive event called ‘HackMIT-WPU 2025’ from March 26 to March 28, 2025. This three-day competition will aim to boost innovation and entrepreneurship among students. Participants can compete in various categories like Ideathon, Workathon, Formathon, Bio-thon, Designathon, Hack-AI-thon, and Octathon. The event will focus on empowering women, providing them with a platform to demonstrate their business skills. Judges for the competition include notable professionals from the corporate sector, successful startup founders, and experienced alumni from MIT-WPU. Alongside the competition, MIT-WPU students will showcase over 100 startups in an exhibition open to the public at no cost. Prof. Prakash Joshi, a leader at MIT, mentioned that this event supports the vision set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who designated January 16 as Startup Day. Prof. Milind Pande, Vice-Chancellor of MIT-WPU, emphasized the goal of fostering job creators rather than job seekers through student innovation.
