Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie, known from the TV show The Block, are putting their Newport home up for sale. They are looking for a smaller and more convenient place on the Northern Beaches. The couple gained fame for their work on The Block in 2019 and 2021. Now, they want to spend more time at their city home. Their current house has five bedrooms and three bathrooms, which they have spent time renovating. In 2019, they bought the 1970s home for $1.7 million. They turned it into a stylish blend of luxury and coastal living. Although they briefly ran a homewares store, which delayed their renovation, they committed fully once they began the project. They describe the renovation process as challenging but rewarding. It took a year due to the home's size and the extensive changes made throughout three levels. The entrance level features an open-plan design with terraces and an outdoor barbecue. The middle level has three bedrooms, while the lower level now includes two bedrooms in a self-contained studio. Edwards particularly loves the master suite's walk-in closet, which has plenty of storage and a marble island. The home is listed as fully curated and move-in ready. Real estate agent Josephine Cowling believes it could sell for over $3.93 million, given recent high sales in the area. Edwards and McKie have completed many renovation projects in Sydney, but this one in Newport stands out as their largest.
