Mitchell Robinson remains uncertain for Hornets game
The New York Knicks faced the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, losing the game 120-105. They were missing star player Jalen Brunson but had many of their other key players available. Mitchell Robinson, who had been dealing with “injury management,” played in the game. He scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds off the bench. Coach Tom Thibodeau did not rule out Robinson for their next game against the Charlotte Hornets. However, Robinson has previously rested during back-to-back games. Robinson has been recovering from ankle surgery and returned only at the end of February. The team aims to manage his minutes carefully to keep him healthy for the playoffs. Currently, he is expected to play around 24 minutes per game, which may increase over time. In the game against the Spurs, the Knicks struggled with rebounding, losing that battle 52-44. Robinson acknowledged the team's need to improve in this area. Meanwhile, forward Josh Hart had a tough night, scoring only two points after having a historic triple-double earlier. He urged his teammates to work together better and create more successful scoring opportunities. Hart noted that playing without Brunson made this task even more challenging.
