He has entered the auction with a base price of Rs 2 crore, following a successful season with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2024. In the previous auction, Starc was acquired by KKR for Rs 24.75 crore. He had a mixed performance during the league stage but excelled in the playoffs, helping KKR secure the title with key wickets in crucial matches. Starc's return to the IPL in 2024 marked his first participation since 2018. He previously played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and was sidelined due to injury after joining KKR. He is now committed to playing in the IPL regularly.
