MMDA recommends work and class suspension in Manila and Pasay for INC rally on January 13

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is recommending the suspension of work and classes in Manila and Pasay on January 13 due to a large rally by the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) at Quirino Grandstand. The MMDA expects around 1 million participants from various provinces for the "National Rally for Peace." They have submitted their recommendation to the government for approval. To manage traffic, the MMDA will deploy about 1,300 personnel and has designated certain roads as parking areas. The rally supports President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s stance against the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte.
