Model Dayle Haddon dies at 76 from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning in Pennsylvania
Dayle Haddon, a former model and actress known for her work with "Sports Illustrated," has died at 76 from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning in her Pennsylvania home. Authorities found her unresponsive after receiving a call about an unconscious person. A 76-year-old man, identified as Walter J. Blucas, was hospitalized in critical condition. Investigators determined that a faulty gas heating system caused the carbon monoxide leak. Two medics were hospitalized for exposure, and a police officer received treatment at the scene. Haddon was a pioneer against age discrimination in modeling, returning to the industry after her husband's death in 1991. She later founded WomenOne, an organization supporting education for girls and women in marginalized communities.
