A Mohali court has convicted three shooters for the murder of Vicky Middukhera, a Youth Akali Dal leader, who was killed in August 2021. The shooters, members of the Kaushal-Bambiha gang, face sentencing on January 27. The court acquitted three gangsters accused of conspiracy due to lack of direct evidence. The trial began in November 2024, leading to the conviction of Anil Kumar, Ajay Kumar, and Sajjan Singh for murder and conspiracy. Police investigations revealed that the murder was ordered by gangster Gaurav Patial, who is based in Armenia. Five other suspects remain at large, including Shagunpreet Singh, who allegedly assisted the shooters.
