Mohan Road Scheme launch expedited for Lucknow urban development
Lucknow is speeding up the launch of the Mohan Road Scheme. On Wednesday, a meeting took place at the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) to discuss the scheme's inauguration and how to improve the plot allotment process. Roshan Jacob, the LDA's head, instructed officials to complete all outstanding tasks quickly. This includes land acquisition and resolving compensation issues for plots that have buildings, trees, or other structures. She emphasized that plot allocations should start as soon as possible. Jacob also stated that no unauthorized buildings would be permitted on LDA-owned land within the scheme. The Mohan Road Scheme is designed to sell plots in four different sectors. It aims to provide housing and promote organized urban development in Lucknow. To tackle infrastructure issues, Dr. Jacob asked officials to check for trees that might block road and drainage work. The necessary approvals from the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) must be obtained before any trees are removed, ensuring that only essential cutting is done. The meeting was attended by LDA vice chairperson Prathamesh Kumar, secretary Vivek Srivastava, and other senior officials.
