Mohanlal dismisses interest in politics, comments on Vijay

In a recent interview, actor Mohanlal shared his thoughts on fellow actor Thalapathy Vijay's entry into politics. Mohanlal stated that politics is not for him. He mentioned, "It's not my cup of tea," and added that Vijay has the right to make his own choices. Mohanlal and Vijay worked together in the film "Jilla" in 2014. When asked if he keeps in touch with Vijay, Mohanlal said they've met a few times but have not spoken recently. Vijay announced his political ambitions in February 2024 by launching his party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam. He also mentioned that his upcoming film, “Jana Nayagan,” would be his last as he plans to fully engage in political work for the public. Currently, Mohanlal is looking forward to the release of "L2: Empuraan." This film, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, is a sequel to "Lucifer" and is set to hit theaters on March 27, 2025. The movie features a star-studded cast, including Manju Warrier and Tovino Thomas.
