Monmouth Mall rebranded as Monmouth Square with new businesses
Several new businesses are set to open in the revamped Monmouth Mall, now called Monmouth Square, in Eatontown, New Jersey, in 2026. The renovated shopping center will feature five new tenants that occupy about 50,000 square feet. The upcoming businesses include Prince Street Pizza, a popular New York City pizzeria, and Cava, a Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant. Other new additions are Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, Offshore Coffee Co., and a fitness studio called Strong Pilates. These establishments will complement the new Whole Foods Market, which is also under construction. The redevelopment aims to transform Monmouth Square into an open-air market with luxury apartments. The improvements will include individual buildings for each business, surrounded by green spaces and walking paths. The project is modeled after Kushner Companies' other developments, such as Pier Village in Long Branch. Despite ongoing construction, existing stores like Barnes & Noble, AMC Theatres, and Macy’s will remain open. According to Kushner Companies, around 75% of the retail area is already leased, indicating strong interest in the redevelopment. Originally opened in 1960, the Monmouth Mall has long been a key shopping destination in New Jersey. The renovations will reduce its size from 1.5 million square feet to 900,000 square feet while bringing back its original outdoor concept.
