'Mookuthi Amman 2' resumes filming after on-set conflict

The sequel to 'Mookuthi Amman', titled 'Mookuthi Amman 2', has officially begun filming after a ceremonial launch on March 6. Nayanthara returns as the goddess in this highly anticipated project directed by Sundar C. However, the production faced a recent controversy. Reports indicated a disagreement between Nayanthara and an assistant director regarding a costume issue. This conflict led to some tension on set and prompted director Sundar C. to pause filming. There were rumors that Nayanthara might be replaced by Tamannaah in her role. To resolve the issue, producer Ishari K. Ganesh stepped in and had discussions with Nayanthara. After addressing the tensions, the team decided to change their shooting location. They resumed filming at Ponniamman Temple in Alapakkam, Chennai, and continued in Nazarathpettai the following day. The sequel features a strong cast, including Duniya Vijay, Regina Cassandra, Yogi Babu, Urvashi, Abhinaya, and Ramachandra Raju. Filming is ongoing in Chennai, with plans to head to Pollachi for more shooting later. The team aims to create a visually stunning film with a rich story that meets the high expectations of its predecessor.
