Moonlight Tavern represents Wisconsin at NFL Draft event
A Port Washington supper club will represent Milwaukee at a big charity event next month. The Moonlight Tavern has been selected to participate in the NFL's "Taste of the NFL Draft." This event will take place in Green Bay on April 23, just before the NFL Draft. The Moonlight Tavern is owned by Anders Dowd and Ashley Heun. They took over the tavern last year and have updated the menu. It features traditional supper club dishes as well as new items like flavored deviled eggs. Dowd describes the dining experience as home-style rather than fancy. At the charity event, the tavern will serve its signature dish, parmesan-crusted salmon. The fundraising event benefits GENYOUth, an organization focused on ending childhood hunger. Dowd hopes many people will buy tickets to support the cause. The Moonlight Tavern is located in the historic 1902 Port Hotel at 101 E. Main St. in Port Washington.
