Moscow supports India's development of smart cities

A delegation from Moscow is in New Delhi from March 19 to 21 for the Smart Cities India Expo 2025. Sergey Cheremin, who leads the delegation, is the Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations in Moscow. The expo is a major event focused on digital technologies and urban innovation. During the event, Moscow will showcase its advanced urban technologies, including eco-friendly solutions and transport infrastructure. Over 1,200 participants and 350 startups are expected to present their innovations to around 55,000 visitors. On March 19, Cheremin will speak at the opening ceremony of the expo. The following day, the delegation will attend the II Smart Cities Forum, aimed at enhancing Russian-Indian cooperation in urban development and information technology. Cheremin plans to discuss Moscow’s investment opportunities and its sustainable urban initiatives. On March 21, he will participate in a panel discussion about India's Smart Cities Mission, focusing on Moscow's successful urban solutions. The presentation will emphasize safety, comfort, and eco-friendly practices. Moscow's stand at the expo will feature innovative projects from leading companies, including SberCity and VisionLabs. These technologies aim to improve the quality of life for city residents. The II Smart Cities Forum is collaboratively organized by various Russian entities, including the Moscow government and the Russian Embassy in India. Moscow's participation in the expo highlights its commitment to international cooperation and sharing its technology expertise in urban development. Cheremin is recognized for his role in modernizing Moscow as a smart city.
