Moses Lake shooting leaves 14-year-old dead, four injured
A shooting in Moses Lake left a 14-year-old boy dead and four others injured on Friday night. The incident occurred in the 500 block of Loop Drive around 9 p.m. Police found five victims in a car at the scene. The deceased boy was identified, while a 26-year-old woman, a 17-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy, and a 12-year-old boy were taken to a local hospital. As of Monday, all four are in stable condition and their injuries are not life-threatening. Authorities later discovered a car linked to the shooting abandoned on Buell Street. They executed a search warrant at a nearby home but confirmed that the residents are not suspects in the case. Police have not shared details about what they found during the search, citing the ongoing investigation. As of Monday, no arrests have been made. However, police do not believe the public is in danger. They also stated that the shooting does not appear to be gang-related. There was no gathering before the shooting; the people in the car were reportedly on their way to pick someone up.
