Mother and lover arrested for child abuse in Mohali

Police have arrested a mother and her lover in Mohali for serious child abuse. They are accused of forcing a 3.5-year-old girl into inappropriate acts and recording videos of the exploitation. The case began when the girl's father, who works abroad, filed a complaint. He claimed that while he was away, his wife brought her lover home and engaged in sexual activities. It is alleged that they placed the young girl in bed with them while the man recorded the acts. The father discovered the situation after receiving one of the videos. He hurried back from abroad upon seeing it. He also alleged that the man threatened their family and took valuables from their home. Following an investigation, police arrested both the mother and her lover. They are charged under the Pocso Act and other sections of the Indian Penal Code. The court has ordered them to be held in police custody for two days. The investigation is ongoing.
