Mother dies quickly from undiagnosed brain tumor
Nicolette Richardson, a 41-year-old osteopath, died from a stage four glioblastoma brain tumor just two weeks after experiencing a sudden headache. Initially thought to be stress-related, her condition rapidly worsened after an MRI revealed the tumor. Despite an urgent operation, Nicolette suffered severe complications, including paralysis and blindness, and fell into a coma before passing away on November 30, 2020. Her partner, Austen Ham-Howes, has since shared their experience and is now raising funds for Brain Tumour Research in her memory. Austen and their daughter Isabella are committed to honoring Nicolette's memory by supporting research efforts. They are raising funds through Austen's clinic, pledging £2 from each treatment during Brain Tumour Awareness Month in March 2025.
