Motorcycle crash near Foxfield leaves one dead

One person has died and another is injured after a motorcycle crash near Foxfield racetrack, located northwest of Charlottesville. The accident occurred early Sunday morning. Emergency services responded to the crash on Garth Road around 1:38 a.m. The motorcycle had two riders. Both were taken to the University of Virginia Medical Center for treatment. Authorities have not yet released the names of the deceased or the injured, as they are still informing their families. The Albemarle County Police Department confirmed that one rider died later in the hospital. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
