Motorcyclist killed in Cumberland County crash identified as Mangal Rai

Mangal Rai, a 28-year-old from Shippensburg, was killed in a motorcycle crash in Cumberland County on Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 6:45 a.m. on the interchange ramp between I-81 and Route 581. According to Pennsylvania State Police, Rai lost control while navigating a left curve and struck a metal guard rail on his 2023 Kawasaki Ninja. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash led to the closure of the interchange for a period on Saturday morning.
