MTC introduces unlimited travel monthly pass for ₹2,000

The Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) has introduced a new monthly pass for bus commuters. The pass, called the Travel As You Please Ticket (TAYPT), costs ₹2,000. Transport Minister S.S. Sivasankar launched the pass on March 19, 2025, at the Mandaveli bus terminus. This new pass allows unlimited travel on all MTC buses, including air-conditioned ones. Previously, the MTC offered a cheaper TAYPT pass for ₹1,000 a month. However, that pass did not allow travel on AC buses. MTC Managing Director T. Prabhushankar also attended the launch event.
