Multiple college basketball coaching changes announced recently
Several college basketball coaches are making moves as the coaching carousel heats up. Sean Miller has left Xavier to become the new coach at Texas, surprising many at Xavier. Miller coached at Xavier for three seasons, leading the team to two NCAA Tournaments. His departure leaves Xavier searching for a replacement, and it's unclear if they will look for another familiar face or seek someone new. In another development, Josh Pastner has been hired as the next coach at UNLV. Pastner has been interested in this position since it opened. He previously spent two years working in television after a coaching career that includes a record of 276 wins and 187 losses. Many believe this is a great opportunity for him to return to coaching. Other coaching changes include Ben McCollum moving from Drake to Iowa, Niko Medved returning to Minnesota, and Ryan Odom being hired at Virginia. Will Wade is now coaching at NC State. As of now, there have been 37 coaching changes, and it's expected that this number could rise to 40 soon. More updates are likely to come as the NCAA tournaments continue.
