Mumbai biker arrested for murder after victim dies
A biker has been arrested for murder after a man he attacked died from his injuries in Mumbai. The incident happened on March 16 when Ahmed Ansari struck 42-year-old Om Prakash Sharma with a paver block during an argument. Sharma was walking home when he saw Ansari riding a motorcycle with his wife at high speed. They knew each other, and Sharma joked about Ansari's reckless driving. This led to a confrontation that turned violent. Ansari then hit Sharma on the head with the paver block before leaving the scene. Friends quickly took Sharma to a nearby hospital. He was treated and released after a CT scan and X-ray. However, he lost consciousness the next day and was readmitted to the hospital, where he died. Police confirmed that a severe head injury caused his death. Following Sharma's death, police added murder charges against Ansari. Initially, he was charged with attempted murder after Sharma’s brother filed a report. Ansari was arrested at his home on Wednesday evening after the police office updated the charges.
