Murder investigation opens after assault victim's death
A murder investigation has started after a man died following an assault in Preston. Gary Carlisle, 62, passed away in the hospital on Wednesday. He had been found with serious injuries on Ribbleton Hall Drive on March 12. Lancashire Police were called to the scene early in the morning. A man in his 30s was arrested nearby on suspicion of attempted murder. This suspect is now being held under the Mental Health Act. Police are continuing to investigate and are asking for witnesses to come forward.
