Murder of gym owner linked to gang rivalry
In New Delhi, the murder of Nadir Shah, a young gym owner, shocked the community of Greater Kailash I. He was killed on September 12, 2024, in public view, raising concerns about safety in the upscale area. The investigation revealed that his murder was not random, but was a planned act linked to criminal gangs. Police believe that gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Hashim Baba were involved in Shah's killing. It was reportedly a revenge attack due to Shah’s connections with businessman Kunal Chhabra. Shah had previously received threats from the gang, who had even considered killing him earlier but postponed the plan. On the night of the murder, the gang decided to go through with it. Witnesses saw the shooters wait for Shah outside his gym. The main shooter, known as Arman or Madhur, was frustrated that Shah was taking too long to emerge. He received a call that prompted him to leave the gym, leading to his shooting as police watched nearby. Authorities quickly arrested several suspects within 24 hours and captured the main shooters, Madhur and Yogesh, shortly after. While the police claim to have solved the case, many questions remain. There are concerns about the handling of the investigation, especially involving the Special Cell, raising issues of potential conflict of interest. The murder appears to be part of a larger gang rivalry, and the family and friends of Nadir Shah are still seeking clarity and justice in this troubling case.
