MUSAC announces 2025 exhibition program featuring Yoko Ono
MUSAC has announced its exhibition program for 2025, highlighting several notable events. A major exhibition featuring Yoko Ono's work, titled "Insound and Instructure," will open in November. Additionally, the first show in Spain by Studio Drift will begin on June 14. The exhibition "Nothing, Like Something, Happens Anywhere," showcasing works from the MUSAC Collection, runs from March 29, 2025, to February 8, 2026. Curated by Mariano Mayer, it includes pieces from 35 artists. The exhibition aims to explore how contemporary art creates connections through its creative vocabulary. Studio Drift will display two famous kinetic sculptures, "Meadow" and "Amplitude," from June 14 to October 19, 2025. "Meadow" features mechanical flowers that mimic nature's cycles, while "Amplitude" seeks to reconnect viewers with the natural world. At the same time, works by Spanish painter Secundino Hernández will be featured in the exhibition "Total Season." This show, also running from June 14 to October 19, will present Hernández's large-scale works that draw from the concepts of abstraction. Another exhibition, "El bramido de la tierra," will focus on the artist Luis Moro and his large-format paintings and drawings. It will encourage a more caring attitude toward our shared environment. Lastly, Yoko Ono's extensive exhibition will highlight her groundbreaking contributions to conceptual art and performance, showcasing works from the last seven decades. The exhibition will be curated by Jon Hendricks and Álvaro Rodríguez Fominaya.
