Musheer Khan impresses with Shreyas Iyer mimicry

Musheer Khan, a young player for Punjab Kings (PBKS), entertained his teammates by mimicking captain Shreyas Iyer. This happened during a team gathering before their first match of IPL 2025 against the Gujarat Titans. The team was bonding ahead of their opener, scheduled for Tuesday evening in Ahmedabad. Musheer's imitation of Iyer's mannerisms made everyone laugh, including coach Ricky Ponting, who smiled and clapped in appreciation. Musheer, who has recovered from a serious car accident that occurred in September 2024, is eager to make an impact in his first IPL season. He shared his admiration for Iyer, highlighting the positive attitude and confidence of the captain. Last year, Musheer first met Iyer while playing in the Ranji Trophy. He noted how Iyer's mindset impressed him, especially when they talked about power-hitting techniques. Iyer, who led Kolkata Knight Riders to an IPL title last season, joined PBKS after they invested Rs 26.75 crore in him during the IPL auction.
