Naperville Sun names Boys Basketball All-Area Team

The 2024-25 Naperville Sun Boys Basketball All-Area Team has been announced. This year's team features standout players from various schools, including four athletes from the Class 4A state champion Benet. Leading the first team is Tyreek Coleman from Waubonsie Valley. The senior guard averaged 20.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. He helped his team achieve a record 31 wins and has committed to Illinois State. Blake Fagbemi from Benet is also on the first team. The senior guard averaged 12.6 points and 6.6 assists for the state champions. He is set to continue his career at Truman State. Other first-team members include Cole Kelly from Neuqua Valley, who had an impressive freshman year, and Daniel Pauliukonis from Benet, both contributing significantly to their teams. The second team includes Whitman Charboneau from Neuqua Valley and Tyler Miller from Metea Valley. Both seniors had solid seasons, showcasing their scoring abilities. In addition, players like Colin Stack and Jayden Wright from Benet made significant impacts, earning all-conference honors. Lastly, several players received honorable mentions, highlighting the depth of talent in the area. Standouts like Carson Loughlin from Naperville North and Kris Mporokoso from Waubonsie Valley are among those recognized.
